Bombing base amounts #
Amounts are at BR 4.7+, and scale down for lower BRs.
- “Light” bases: 650kg TNT equivalent
- “Heavy” bases: 1500kg TNT equivalent
All maps with 4 bases that have [Operation] in the name have heavy bases, and the bases will respawn a few minutes after being destroyed. On these maps, airfields never become a target.
All maps with 3 bases, and 4 base non-[Operation] have light bases, and after all of the initial base are destroyed, the Airfield(s) become targets. On these maps, bases never respawn.
4 base [Operation] = 1500kg TNT equiv @BR4.7+
3 base [Operation] [Air Battle] [Front Line] - 650kg TNT equiv @BR4.7+
3 Base Maps: Poland, Malta, Rhine, Kuban, ?
Some bombs are more/less effective than TNT equiv would otherwise suggest. AP bombs appear to have a 3x multiplier (1.5 for SAP). British MC bombs (Wyvern) 3x1000lb can kill 4.7 base despite having less than 1000kg tnt equiv.

Fixing Cache/Shader issues #
If you ever have problems with names showing up weird
like it_44m_zrinyi_1
instead of their proper version,
go to the WarThunder folder and delete any cache
and compiledShader
folders.
The name files get stuck in there and may not update correctly,
especially if you ever use custom kill texts or similar.
This can sometimes also fix certain texture/model issues, such as getting all black or low quality skins.
These directories are never fixed by Verify local files
in the launcher or Steam,
so you have to manually clear them if something goes wrong.
